Thinking While Drinking is a community that gathers for thoughtful discussions on various topics (modern life, society, relationships, philosophy etc) in relaxed settings like breweries, bars, and coffee shops, primarily in the San Diego area. We aim to foster curiosity, connection, and engaging conversations.
We rotate between various craft breweries, bars, and coffee shops across San Diego County. Check our Event Schedule or the Venues page for specific locations of upcoming events.
Not at all! Curiosity is the only prerequisite. Our discussions are designed to be accessible and engaging for everyone, regardless of background knowledge. We value diverse perspectives.
Most discussion events are free but our hosts and facilitators may ask for a small donation to cover costs. Social Hangouts are typically free, but you'll pay for your own food/drinks/activities unless otherwise noted. Check the specific event details for any costs.
Events usually start with a mingle period as folks arrive and get settled, followed by a brief introduction by the facilitator. The main discussion typically lasts about 60-90 minutes, guided by prompts but allowing for organic conversation.
We're always looking for enthusiastic community members!
